I design stuff (products, services, experiences) that make complex systems work better for people.
My background in Industrial Design Engineering and Human-Technology Interaction helps me see beyond isolated problems and address the entire system. I bring together creative thinking, technical precision, and research expertise to create designs that meet both user needs and business goals.
I design for people first, focusing on their needs, behaviors, and challenges. Using Human-Centered Design, design thinking and systems approaches, I come up with solutions that fit seamlessly into their lives, whether it’s a product, service, or a mix of both.

What I do
- Human-Centered Design: I dive deep into the heart of user needs, unwrapping the complexity of hidden problems. It's all about designing with empathy and understanding, making sure technology serves people, not the other way around.
- Creative Problem Solving: I approach challenges with an open mind, ready to think outside the box. It's about finding smart, simple solutions to complex issues, always with the user's needs in mind.
- Practical Design Applications: I stand at the intersection of art and engineering, where creativity meets precision. I aim to create designs that don't just look good but also work well in everyday life, making sure they’re as practical as they are appealing.
How I Work
- Empathy-Driven Research: I see research as piecing together a puzzle: listening to stories, looking at data, and observing behaviors to uncover insights that guide my designs. Understanding people first, then making relevant decisions.
- Strategic Use of Tools: I choose tools based on what each project needs. From simply sketching ideas on paper, to building interactive prototypes in Figma, or creating 3D models in SolidWorks, the tools follow my process, not the other way around. I also adapt quickly to new tools and methods, making sure the work stays focused on the users’ experience in the world of AI and rapidly changing technologies.
- Clear Communication: I turn complex ideas into simple visuals and language that everyone can understand. This keeps collaboration smooth and ensures everyone stays on the same page.
- Multidisciplinary Teamwork: I thrive when collaborating with others. My toolbox of empathy, adaptability, and fresh perspectives helps teams find harmony.
Why This Path
- Passion for Impact: I’m motivated by the desire to make a positive difference through my design. Not just creating things; but crafting experiences that have a meaningful impact on people's lives.
- Curiosity and Learning: love learning and exploring new horizons. Every project is a learning opportunity, a chance to stretch my limits and see what’s possible.
- Commitment to Accessibility: I’m dedicated to designing a more inclusive world. I strive to create solutions that everyone can use and benefit from, aiming to make the world a bit more accessible for all.
- Improving Lives Through Design: I believe design has the power to make a real difference. I focus on creating experiences that are not just functional but also genuinely impactful, especially in areas like healthcare and accessibility.
I believe design should be meaningful, focusing on creating value instead of adding unnecessary waste to the world.
- Curiosity and Growth: I’m passionate about learning something new with every project. Exploring challenges, expanding my skills, and pushing boundaries keep me motivated and engaged.
- Cultural Adaptability: Living in different places has taught me to value diversity and adaptability. I bring a unique mix of cultural insights to my work, combining Dutch honesty and practicality, with Persian empathy and warmth, and now the fresh perspectives I’m gaining in Vancouver.
User Experience & Interaction Researcher:
I explore how people interact with technology, environments, products, or services. My goal is to uncover pain points and opportunities using different kinds of research methods, from qualitative and quantitative to explorative, generative, and summative. Some of my favorites include usability testing, market analysis, and co-creation workshops. Research at every stage of design and development helps avoid costly mistakes in time, money, or user retention.
Medical Product & Service Designer:
Design within and for the healthcare sector, is where I bring it all together. I’ve worked on projects for med-tech startups, university medical centers, and companies like Philips and Braun. I understand the sensitivities of designing in high-stakes, regulated environments and know how to create solutions that improve workflows for healthcare professionals while being accessible to patients.
Industrial Design Engineer:
This is the backbone of my creative and technical sides. I combine aesthetics, human factors principles, and production (manufacturing) to create products that didn't exist before, don’t just look good but also work seamlessly in everyday life. This is the backbone of my creativity within constraints, and taught me to see the big picture, from initial concepts to full-scale production.
